Eyebrow Microblading
"I find that nothing frames a face so beautifully, or gives an instantaneous lift quite like perfectly shaped brows." ~ Anastasia
Eyebrows as a frame for the face are an important facial feature. If you're not satisfied with the ones you have, there is a simple process by which your eyebrows can be improved. This process is called Eyebrow Microblading. Eyebrow Microblading can artistically enhance eyebrows to the shape that is best for your face according to your requirements.

Microblading Process
During the microblading process, a very fine blade is used to draw on individual strokes one by one and deposit pigments into the epidermis. This process is very meticulous and can take around two hours to complete. The first hour is spent drawing the shape of the brows. The shape is customized to every customer’s facial contours. It is the longest and most important step.
Next, a topical numbing cream is applied to the eyebrow area. This helps minimize discomfort. For most customers the process of microblading is painless though some may experience some slight discomfort.
Prior to Microblading
- 2 days before:
- Avoid alcohol, aspirin, Ibuprofen
- 1 Week before:
- Stop taking the following supplements: Vitamin E, B6, Omega-3, Gingko-biloba, St. John’s Wort.
You may want to wash your hair prior to appointment because you will need to avoid the shower for a few days after the procedure.
Healing Process
The healing process is different for everyone though the range for complete healing is normally 30 days.
- Days 1 and 2:
- The eyebrows are about 25% darker and wider than when fully healed. This is all part of the healing process.
- Day 3:
- Eyebrows start to itch because exfoliation begins.
- Days 5 to 7:
- The skin begins to flake, peeling from the outside edges first. DO NOT pick at or try to remove any flaking skin. Allow skin to naturally heal. New skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in a softer appearance of your eyebrows.
Taking care of your eyebrows after microblading is very important for a beautiful and lasting result.

- It’s extremely important not to get the brows wet during the healing process of first 7 to 10 days. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline for 10 days by using Q-tip (not by hands) 2 to 3 times daily. Never touch your eyebrows without washing your hands
- Before a shower or workout: apply a thick layer of Vaseline for both brows. It is very important to keep the brows covered with Vaseline while in shower or during a workout to prevent moisture from penetrating.
- After shower/ workout, use a dry tissue to dab gently across each brow once to remove excess Vaseline.
- When light flaking or scabbing appears, do not wipe – only dab. You must be GENTLE, do not pull off the scabs.
- Do not scrub, rub or pick at the crust that forms. Allow it to flake off by itself. If the crust is removed before it is ready, the pigment underneath could be pulled out.
- Do not use any makeup on the brows before the healing process is complete.
- After the healing is complete, you may go back to your regular cleansing and makeup routine.
- Keep the sun off your face for ten days.
- Do Not use any Retin-A or any Acids on the brow area during or after healing.
- Avoid swimming pool for 21 days.
- Do Not dye, tint, tweeze, wax or thread eyebrows for 3 weeks after the procedure.
Normal healing (what to expect)
- Mild swelling, itching, light scabbing, light bruising and dry tightness. Ice packs can be used for swelling and bruising. Aftercare ointments work well for scabbing and tightness.
- Too dark and slightly uneven appearance. After 2-7 days the darkness will fade, and once swelling dissipates unevenness usually disappears
- Color change or color loss. As the procedure area heals, the color will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear in places. The procedure area should heal completely before we can address any concerns. Complete healing takes about four weeks.
- Need a touch up later.
- Your first touch up will be 4 to 6 weeks after the first session. The entire procedure, except for the drawing of the eyebrows, will need to be repeated.
- An additional touch up may be needed 6 months to 1 year after the first touch up procedure depending on your skin, medications, and sun exposure and products used.
- Caution: If the skin around the eyebrows experiences any rash or small pimples, this is usually a reaction to the numbing solution and should go away by itself in a couple weeks. Contact me if there is any unusual reaction.
